The Rabbi's Home
In one of the floors of the Chabad Building the architect I was collaborating with was tasked to design is the Rabbi's family's home. The client wanted to have an arch for the doorway to the living room which serves to divide it with the kitchen, as we suggested to have it open (not to close the kitchen off with walls).
In this rendering, we wanted to show how it would look like with the divider we suggested, and how they can maximize the kitchen with all the cabinets, taking into account their requirements for a kosher kitchen.
Instead of a sofa, I conceptualized a window corner/ nook where one can read and use the structure's spaces inside as  "wall cabinets" and the shelf to house their many books. They can add a foam above the wooden seat and or just add throw pillows to make a comfortable place for reading or resting.
